The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has identified seven steps to protect homes from thefts, as part of the "Safe Homes" electronic campaign launched by the Media and Public Relations Department in cooperation with the Community Police Department in Arabic, English and Chinese.
The Director General of Police Operations in the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Brigadier Abdullah Ali Mankhes, said that the residents must follow and take all precautionary measures to reduce the incidence of theft crimes in homes and residential villas by placing surveillance cameras at the entrances and exits of the house and using lighting in the house in a way. Continuously making sure that doors and windows are closed well, ensuring that windows are provided with tight locks and an external grille, replacing locks in case keys are lost, keeping valuables in a safe place, and not placing all your valuables in one place, in addition to not leaving servants alone at home for long periods.
He explained that the launch of the campaign comes within the framework of the Ras Al Khaimah Police's keenness to enhance security and safety and protect the property of citizens and residents and their homes from the risk of being robbed as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior seeking to reduce alarming crimes, and he added that the campaign, which will cover the entire geographical scope of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah through community police branches In the comprehensive police stations, and in cooperation with the Department of Criminal Investigation, it will provide educational and guiding awareness to owners and residents of homes and residents of labor housing, urging them to follow and take all precautionary measures to reduce their exposure to theft by those seeking illicit profit.
He stressed that the cooperation of the people, citizens and residents, is the cornerstone of the success of the campaign, which is part of a series of awareness campaigns launched by the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Interior and as a contribution to achieving its strategic goals and in pursuit of protecting society and its members and limiting negative phenomena.
