Arab Weather - Air Quality Index provides information on air quality and the amount of basic pollutants in it, so that the air quality index is calculated according to the concentrations of these pollutants in the air.
There are five basic pollutants that are measured, namely:
1.Ozone (OP): What is meant here is ozone close to the surface of the earth, which is a secondary pollutant that results from chemical reactions in the atmosphere, between nitrogen oxides and active hydrocarbons, and exposure to shortness of breath and eye irritation, especially in children and elderly people who suffer from chronic diseases.
4.Carbon monoxide (CO): It is a toxic, colorless and smell gas, and it results from incomplete combustion processes of hydrocarbon materials. It may cause a feeling of headache, nausea, and dizziness, and increases the risk of heart disease, and exposure to high concentrations may lead to death.
Kh.Particulaate MATTER, which are two types:
The air quality index is a simplified way to convert the data received from the monitoring stations and monitor air quality into simple numbers, and the classification of these numbers into degrees is shown in the form of specific colors, the higher the concentrations, the higher the index, where the air quality scale is divided into six basic categories, namely:
The air quality in this indicator is good, which is the perfect quality for most people, where you can enjoy the usual outdoor activities.
Air quality is moderate and generally accepted for most people, but minor symptoms may appear medium when exposed to long periods of air, in some people who are allergic.
Air pollution levels are high at this indicator, and air quality becomes bad and unhealthy, especially for those with allergies, so the time that is spent abroad should be reduced if you feel symptoms such as: difficulty breathing, or irritation of the throat.
This indicator means that the air is unhealthy, as health repercussions may appear as soon as people with allergies are exposed to this air, as it affects healthy people when they are exposed to air for long periods, as it may cause them to difficulty breathing and irritation of the throat, so it is advised to reduce external activities.
The air at this indicator is completely unhealthy, and then health problems can appear in people with allergies, and they should avoid external activities, and the rest of the people may suffer from difficulty breathing and irritation in the throat, and it is advised not to go out and change the dates of external activities.
At this indicator, the air quality is very bad and becomes dangerous to health, as exposure to air, even for short periods, may lead to serious health repercussions, so external activities should be avoided.
